“Sounds like a plan.” Harry said, smiling brightly. Once they were at the pitch Harry gave Ron the rest of his Chicken to finish while he went into the locker room to get a Quaffle. He came out of the locker room tossed the Quaffle to Ron. “I think you wanted to be referee first so you could finish eating.” He teased before taking off on his broom. He did a few laps around the stadium before stopping right above Ginny and Ron.
“Now Gin, I know you’re my girlfriend. But that doesn’t mean I am going to go easy on you.” He said with a smile.
“Alright, then.” Ginny agreed with a smile, following the boys as they headed down to the pitch. As she entered the pitch, it suddenly felt like it had been far too long since she had gone out for a fly. She loved the feeling of being in the pitch, the freedom of flying.
She waited as Harry grabbed the Quaffle, brushing off the handle of her broom. She was still treating it as if it were a infant or pet, polishing it usually twice a week. Though she supposed she shouldn’t drop her baby and run away from it like she had with her broomstick earlier. She looked up as Harry returned, tossing the Quaffle to her brother and kicking off the ground. She watched him do a few laps before returning, hovering in front of them.
She narrowed her eyes, throwing him a competitive smirk. “I wouldn’t expect you to, nor will I need it.” Ginny replied, mounting onto her broom, kicking off the ground.

Harry laughed as he followed Ron out the doors. He knew that if they ever some how got stuck somewhere in the middle of nowhere Ron would have some kind of food with him. He fell a few steps behind Ron to walk with Ginny. He took her hand and squeezed it when Ron wasn’t looking. He smiled at her, a game of quidditch with two of his favourite people sounded like a great idea.
“So how are we going to split in to teams? Two against one isn’t fair.” Harry said as he tried to catch up with Ron’s stride.
Ginny swiftly avoided Ron’s question on what she may or may not have heard the two of them talking about as she hopped out from between the wall and the statue. Relieved to no longer have anything lodged into her leg, she scurried away from her former position, bending down to pick up her discarded broom. She wiped it off, ridding the dust and dirt from the handle.
She grinned brightly as Ron tossed her the bag with the last piece of chicken in it. Normally she would likely feel bad about taking it, but she had yet to eat today. She took her time finishing off the chicken leg before following them out onto the grounds. She smiled as Harry grabbed her hand, glancing at him with a pleased expression. It seemed like a while either of them had seen each other. Making sure her brother wasn’t looking, she pressed a kiss against his cheek.
“Well, one of us could always be referee. Loser plays the ref.”

-weasley-is-our-king-:
Ron’s mouth twitched a bit at his friend’s enthusiasm, “That’s the plan, is it? While I reckon I can’t really argue you with it…you’ll put this in motion whether I agree or not.”
By now they were almost to the front doors and whirled around quickly when something dropped behind them. Out of reflex, he grabbed his wand as he spun and pointed it at…a broom? With a frown he looked at it a bit closer and smiled, recognizing it right away, “You know, Harry. I think we’re being eavesdropped on.” He put his wand back in his pocket and grabbed a chicken leg while he was in there and offered it to his friend before grabbing one for himself.
“That’s right. You deserve to be happy.” He spun around with Ron when he heard the clatter on the floor behind them. Harry took the chicken leg from Ron, not at all phased by the fact that Ron seemed to be carrying a whole meal with him. He saw the broom laying on the ground and instantly recognized it from the hours he had spent flying with Ginny. He slightly felt like an idiot knowing that she had heard everything they said.
“Ginny?” Harry called out to the seemingly empty corridor.
As she was hunched between the stone wall and the uncharacteristically still statue, she suddenly wondered what possessed her to pick this hiding spot. It wasn’t as if it was particularly common for someone to be hanging out huddled behind a statue in the middle of the castle should she, which she obviously would, be found. She no longer had to strain her ears to hear the boys’ voices once they had heard the clattering of her broom.
Of course, of all times to be extremely clumsy, she had to pick now. Perhaps she had spent too many summer days with Tonks, though now she was wishing she could spend more of those days lounging around Grimmauld Place with her favourite Auror. Figuring she may as well let herself be known, perhaps more because of the uncomfortable position against the stone wall than anything else, she peeked out from behind the statue upon hearing her name.
“Oh hey guys, what are you doing here?” Ginny asked, throwing them a falsely innocent smile. By the looks on their faces, they didn’t look very believing of her. She blinked, her attention turning from the odd situation to something else. “Is that a chicken leg?” Ginny questioned, noticing the piece of food in each of the boys’ hands.

-weasley-is-our-king-:
Ron bit his lip, wondering if he should say anything. If Ginny hadn’t said anything to Harry…was it his place to open his big mouth? He thought it over for a few moments, then nodded, “Just…war stuff, you know.” He said vaguely, figuring that would be ok. He didn’t give too much information and still left plenty for Ginny to tell him if she chooses to.
“Me? Tell Turpin? Hell no!! I never tell people how I feel. I’m rubbish at that.” He looked through one of his pockets and took out a roll and chewed on it thoughtfully, “Especially since I don’t know how she feels. Don’t want to move too fast. She’s friends with Hermione too so…that’s a bit of a complication…”
“But if you never tell her, she’ll never know.” Harry said quickly. “You can’t expect her to automatically know these things.” They continued to walk as Harry thought of a way to help his best friend. “Okay here is the plan.” He said as he twirled his broom. “I’m going to talk to Hermione to see if she could talk to Lisa about you. I’ll also tell her to put in the good word for you. Then she reports back to me and after we find out what she thinks of you, then you make your move.” He smiled quite proud of his plan.
Ginny looked at the ground, scrunching up her nose. Not that she blamed her brother at all, but she was hoping to avoid any sort of conversation concerning… well, her. She was… she was fine. She knew her brother didn’t think she was, she knew he kept trying to help, but all she wanted to do was forget. Sometimes, rare moments when she was at the pitch or she was joking around, she could. It was just… a slow process, she supposed.
She listened to the boys, her own mind racing. Though they hadn’t talked in a few days, Lisa and her were friends. Ginny actually catsitted for Lisa a few times. Perhaps she could meddle a wee bit. Ron had certainly meddled in her love life plenty of times. And besides, she wanted her brother to be happy. He deserved that much.
Not paying attention, Ginny only realized her broom was slipping from her hands right before it clanged to the ground. Her brown eyes widened in fear, and she ducked behind the statue that was beside her. Merlin, this is just a brilliant hiding spot, Gin. Ginny thought to herself sarcastically, digging into her pockets for her wand. Of course, I forgot my wand.

harryjamespotter-theboywholived:
“I don’t know, Corner had a bit of an attitude if you ask me.” Harry shrugged. “What do you mean hurt less? Is she upset about something. She never told me that something was bothering her.” For a few seconds he felt like a horrible boyfriend. Ginny was supposed to tell him about everything that was bothering her, and he had no clue that something was. These thoughts got pushed to the back of his brain when Ron mentioned Turpin. He smiled and grabbed Ron’s shoulder.
“That’s great! Lisa seems decent. So..er..Have you told her how you feel?”
Ginny grinned as Ron rambled on, tuning out his voice for a few moments. It was obvious that Ron had noticed, they had certainly talked about it quite a bit. She had a feeling no one else had even noticed her odd behaviour recently. Perhaps it was some sort of sibling thing. She often tried to hide it from everyone else, she didn’t like feeling like people were pitying her when she showed her true emotions.
Though, Ron was right. She was happier when she was with Harry, better even. She didn’t feel like she was missing something when she was with him. Oddly, she felt just right, like she belonged where she was. Not that she’d say something so cliché to anyone, let alone her brother.
Lisa?! Lisa Turpin? Ron fancied Lisa? Despite suddenly feeling rather guilty to listening in on their conversation, she couldn’t help but strain to listen closer. She hadn’t any idea they were so close. She had known they knew each other, but she didn’t realize they even talked that often. Hm, maybe she’d have to talk to Lisa soon.
She glared at a young boy who passed them, eyeing her weirdly. She hoped he didn’t give her away. That would certainly be difficult to explain.

harryjamespotter-theboywholived:
“What do you mean she got all gushy and rubbish? Did she cry?” Harry asked sounding concerned. It didn’t sound like a normal reaction to have when talking about a relationship. Maybe she was crying because she was happy with him, yes that sounded much better. He smiled when Ron started talking about another girl. “That is good. Who’s the girl? Is it someone I know?”
Ginny smiled softly, it looked as if they hadn’t noticed her. Making sure to keep a good distance away, she could hear most of their conversation, enough to understand what they were talking about. She furrowed her faint eyebrows, glaring at the back of Ron’s head as he mentioned her. I’m not gushy! Ginny slapped a hand over her mouth to keep her from defensively blurting that out. Now Lavender Brown, she’s gushy. Ginny certainly wasn’t. Was she?
She grinned slightly as she heard Harry’s concerned reply. Cry? Merlin, is that what the blokes thought of her? Gushy and cried often? She wasn’t some sort of Cho Chang/Lavender Brown girl. She liked to keep the blubbering to the minimum. Especially in front of other people. Which perhaps might have been due to having six older brothers.
Ginny perked up as they mentioned some girl. Girl? What girl? Ron never told her about any girl. Then again, she wasn’t too surprised about that. If he was just now telling Harry, his best mate, it wasn’t shocking he had yet to tell his little sister. They didn’t often discuss their love lives, unless it was for rare advice.
Cure for boredom? Quidditch!!!
harryjamespotter-theboywholived:
“Why would we be fighting?” Harry asked as he put his broom over the shoulder. He smiled at his friend and started walking towards the portrait hole. He couldn’t think of any reason for the two of them to be fighting, unless he said something that made her angry without him knowing. “Did she say she was mad at me for something?”
He shook this thought off as they started walking down the corridor, he was looking forward to spending some time on his broom with his friend.
Ginny had been dreadfully bored with homework, which she had found so incredibly dull she had nearly thrown herself out of the seventh floor window. Throwing her books aside, something that would have given Hermione a stroke, she hopped off from her bed and threw on the jumper that was closest to her. She grabbed her broom from the floor, ignoring several things cluttering the floor and making her way out of the dormitory.
Ginny descended the stairs into the common room. She was surprised to not see many students around, no one she wanted to see, anyway. She had wanted to see if a house mate or two wanted to go flying or practice. She had assumed Ron and Harry would be around, as Ron had mentioned something about a mountain of homework earlier. Figuring she’d fly for a bit before coming back up, Ginny crossed the common room, ducking through the portrait hole. It didn’t take her long to notice the ginger and dark-haired heads just ahead.
She smiled, a smile that George would have been proud of. She trailed behind them quietly, trying not to cause attention to herself. She hadn’t done anything sneaky or mischievous in far too long, this might be fun. She followed them, trying to catch bits of their conversation.
Quidditch Pitch | Open
Ginny eyed her broomstick leaning against the frame of her bed, distracting her from the homework spread across her comforter. Not only was her unfinished Potions essay due the next day, but she had to study for Charms and Transfiguration as well. However, the thought of taking her broom out for some fresh air was becoming much more appealing with each passing moment. She knew she shouldn’t, if she didn’t get at least her essay done now, she’d be stuck studying into the early hours of the morning. Normally when she was attempting to finish homework, or even when she wasn’t, she usually had Hermione around to force her into finishing it. However, Hermione was oddly absent, she hadn’t heard from her since dinner, actually.
Ginny heaved a sigh, tossing her Advanced Potion-Making book onto her bed, crinkling a piece of parchment that it had landed on. Ginny stretched her legs, sliding off her bed. She grabbed a jumper than was strewn over her trunk, throwing it over her shoulders and flattening it down over her stomach. She hurried round the four poster, grabbing her still rather new Nimbus that Ron had gifted her. It had become her pride and joy ever since she had received the gift. Much better than George’s old one she had been using since the beginning of the year. Her first few years as part of the Quidditch team, Ginny had used Fred’s old broom. Though, after the death of her brother, she couldn’t find it in her to be able to use it. She had switched to using George’s, which thankfully was almost exactly the same broom.
Ginny whirled around, nearly skipping out of the dormitory, glad to be able to get out of the stuffy room. She hadn’t been outside since she left Herbology class earlier in the day, and it had felt like hours she’d been stuck in her dormitory, though it wasn’t nearly that long. She greeted the familiar faces on the way out of the common room and down the castle, getting odd looks due to her chipper attitude. It didn’t take too long for her to reach the ground floor, which seemed to be oddly empty, with only a few students and staff walking about. Ginny crossed the Entrance Hall, smiling as she pushed the door open. A generous amount of wind blew her back slightly as she stepped out of the castle.
With a grin speed across her face, she started for the Quidditch Pitch, broom in hand.
OOC: Hi! Sorry I haven’t been online in quite a while, rl has been pretty hectic recently and has just left me so exhausted. Anyway, if we were involved in a roleplay before I went on this little hiatus (for lack of a better term), let me know if you’d like to continue or just make a new one. :)

harryjamespotter-theboywholived:
Harry grinned at her words, he loved hearing that from her. He had waited forever to hear that from her. He kissed her softly once more and pulled away from her. Her hand in his.
“Come one then, The kitchens are just up ahead.” He pulled her out from behind the statue. They walked together hand in hand towards the portrait of the bowl of fruit. He reached out to tickle the pear so the portrait would open and let them in. They walked in together and Harry found Winky among the other elves. It seemed that Dobby’s death had been hard on her and he wasn’t even sure she could stand up with out collapsing but the sight of Harry seemed to sober her up.
“Hello Winky.” Harry said softly as he knelt down in front of the elf. “I hate to bother you right now, but could you make us some treacle tart?”
The elf nodded excitedly, her face seemed to brighten at Harry’s words. The elf answered him in a squeaky voice. “Yous is not a bother to Winky,-hic- Harry Potter. Winky will go make it for Harry Potter and his friend now.”
Harry smiled at Ginny and sat down. “I figured if she was doing something she wouldn’t be so sad.”
A smile spread across her pink lips, her heavily-lidded eyes opening hesitantly as they pulled away from each other. She glanced up at him, her large eyes a bright brown. She couldn’t help the blissful expression on her face, nor did she feel the need to contain it. Being with him was enough to lift her spirits even on her worst of days. She grinned, squeezing his hand gently as she followed him to the kitchens just down the corridor.
She waited patiently as they reached the painting of the bowl of fruit, watching as he reached up to tickle the large, green pear. Ginny smiled softly as the portrait hole opened, revealing the kitchens to the two students. They walked in together, their linked hands swinging between them. It was almost immediately that the house elves surrounded them, most of them looking very excited to see them, though she knew they were mostly just excited to see Harry again.
Ginny smiled as she bent down, greeting the house elves with an excited and warm embrace. She laughed softly as they welcomed her, a particularly small house elf that Ginny had grown fond of over the years throwing herself into Ginny’s arms. She looked up, noticing Winky and several other house elves heading back further into the kitchen. She stood back up, politely excusing herself as she joined Harry, sitting on one of the benches.
“You’re wonderful, you know.” Ginny said fondly, a bright smile appearing on her face as she reached for his hand over the table, lacing their fingers together. He was constantly going around, going out of his way to make others feel better, without ever asking or expecting anything in return. It was these things, his overwhelming kindness and caring nature, that made her fall in love with him.
